Nof Ginosar is the name of the hotel in Kibbutz Ginosar located on the west side of the Sea of Galilee about 7 km north of Tiberias. Twice a year, around May and December it hosts a folk festival that includes a wide range of music from world music to country rock, blues and even Irish gigs with concerts, jam sessions, dance and music workshops, crafts fairs and children's activities and more. For accomodation, you have a choice between the hotel and camping on the grass surrounding the concert stages. This preview concerns the upcoming winter festival. This year's exciting WINTER WEEKEND FESTIVAL will take place inside the Nof Ginosar Hotel from 16:00 Friday Nov 30th thru Saturday Dec 1st at 17:00.
The program features DAR WILLIAMS (US), one of America's best singer-songwriters, who wrote for and appeared with Joan Baez, American contemporary folk, Rip-Roaring Country music, exquisite Classical Ethnic music from around the world, Original retro style Israeli folk, plenty of Irish and Bluegrass, Sing-Along 60s & 70s and lots of fun and dancing with UKUS IN FABULA from Italy who perform a medley of Italian and American folk, country, Jazz and Rock & Roll.
SWING and AMERICAN FOLK DANCING workshops, BASS and UKULELE workshops, Tai chi/Chi Kung, Craft fair, Jam sessions of all types, Juggling, Guided Morning walk, Open Stage, Book Swap, Games Club and Handicrafts for Kids and other activities in the Jacob’s Ladder spirit make this a perfect weekend for singles, couples, families and seniors. If fine weather, The Jacob's Ladder Irish Session Band set, The Bluegrass Jam session led by artists from GALILEE THUNDER and the Craft fair will be held outside on the Saturday. In case of rain, all activities will be held inside.

The festival opens at 16:30 in the onsite Sports Hall with SWING dancing for all led by SWING IT Dance School from Tel Aviv. Seats will be provided for those who just want to watch the fun.

Camping in the Winter is allowed only in the Wood by the Beach for 80 NIS per tent, to be paid to Nof Ginosar Hotel Reception. Only Ticket holders will be allowed to put up tents.
