José Feliciano and Boaz Sharabi: Live in Israel

He was defined as the Picasso of music and one of the best guitarists in the world! José Feliciano, the man and the legend is returning for two performances in Israel.

WHEN: On Monday, Sept 9th, 2019 at the Haifa Convention Center and on Tuesday, Sept 10th, 2019 at Tel Aviv's Mann Auditorium.

Joining him on stage will be Boaz Sharabi, one of the veteran and most respected names in Israeli music and who is responsible for some of the most popular Israeli classics, including "Rak Otach Ohav Halayla", "Im At Adain Ohevet Oti", "Latet", "Pamela", "At Li Layla", "Halevai", "Heye Chazak", "Ksheat Noga'at Bi" and many others.

José Feliciano holds 19 nominations and nine Grammy Awards and a Lifetime Achievement Award awarded to him by the Latin Academy of Arts and Sciences.

He was voted five times in a row for Best Pop Guitarist by Guitar Player magazine and Best Jazz Guitarist by Playboy magazine in the 70s.

Feliciano was the first artist to combine Latin influences on American pop-rock music and was one of the first artists to cross the boundaries of Latin music and become a top international musician.

Frank Sinatra, Jimi Hendrix, Michael Jackson, Ricky Martin, Carlos Santana, Johnny Cash, Gloria Estefan, Marc Anthony are just some of the greatest artists he has collaborated with over the years, along with album recordings with Bill Withers, John Lennon, Joni Mitchell and others.

The hit "Feliz Navidad" entered the 25 best Christmas songs of all times parade ...

In 1987 he was awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. His handprints are found on the "Wall of Fame" at the Madame Tussauds Museum, as well as a star named after him on Star Avenue in his native Puerto Rico. In 1995, the "Public School 155" was renamed "The José Feliciano School of Performing Arts" in New York.

Feliciano, 74, was born blind in Larres Porturico. At the age of six he began to play the accordion and then to play the guitar his father had bought him. He played for hours and listened to rock'n'roll records played by the best known guitarists.

At the age of 17 he began to appear. His debut single "Everybody Do the Click" was released in 1964 and became a big hit. His first albums "The Voice and Guitar of José Feliciano" and "A Bag Full of Soul" were published in 1965/1966 revealing to the world his great talent. Since then he has released dozens of albums in English and Spanish and has sold millions of copies of his albums.
