Tali and Ido Matzliach decided to develop a natural toothpaste that does not contain sugar or harmful sugar substitutes or SLS, a cleaning agent that is found in most products on the market today. SLS creates a pleasant foam for use and appearance, but in contact with the skin may cause irritation and is not recommended by dentists' associations around the world. Lavender's unique natural toothpaste underwent stringent tests in leading laboratories in the world and received the approval of the Ministry of Health and as mentioned, does not contain sugar, chemicals and preservatives.

In Lavender's toothpaste, the substance that cleans the bacterial plaque and dirt on the teeth is a high-quality French green clay. The clay was researched and found to be very effective in relieving gingivitis and has been shown to accelerate the healing process of injured gums.

As with any toothpaste, the cleanser is also the "abrasive" substance. The use of any toothpaste causes a certain level of abrasion that can lead over time to damage to the enamel of the tooth. Lavender's toothpaste has been tested in a leading laboratory in the United States and has been found to be very gentle with a low level of abrasion compared to other toothpastes. It cleans the teeth without damaging the enamel layer. It also passed a safety test that meets strict European standards and has been proven to effectively kill bacteria and fungi, while preservative free.

Other natural ingredients found in the ointment:

  • Calendula extract - an antibacterial, anti-inflammatory agent that can help heal wounds and also relieve bleeding gums. In studies it has been found to be effective in preventing tooth decay and gingivitis along with tartar cleansing.

  • Green tea - Green tea, the second most important drink after water, has been found to be very effective in maintaining the health of the cell layer in the mouth and protecting it from gingivitis. Studies have also shown that green tea reduces bad odors in people with gingivitis.

  • Natural soap from olive oil, coconut oil and castor oil - great for the skin and gently cleanses the salivary glands without drying them out.

  • Salt and baking soda - powerful in cleaning teeth and bacterial plaque and preventing tooth decay.

  • Clove essential oil - has powerful antibacterial and antifungal properties.

  • Cinnamon essential oil - stimulates blood circulation, and has also been found in studies to be effective in fighting Candida, which affects both the oral mucosa and the entire digestive system.

  • Neroli essential oil - also has antibacterial properties, excellent for preventing tooth decay and cleaning the bacterial plaque in the teeth.

  • Mint Essential Oil - Refreshes the breath and overall feeling.

  • Glycerin - moisturizes the oral cavity and prevents dryness.

  • Aloe Vera - Lavender toothpaste contains pure, high-quality aloe vera extract that soothes inflamed teeth and gums. Aloe vera has also been found to prevent the development of bacterial plaque and gingivitis.
