Light Up Your Home: A Group Purchasing Event
A few months ago, I wrote about an Israeli social-consumer enterprise called 'Sogrim Hakol LaDira' who assist apartment buyers and renovators to reduce costs (see here). This time, I was invited to write a preview about an actual purchasing group event that will take place in Rishon LeZion, in a lighting store called 'Barak Teura'. If you're thinking of moving to Israel, or have already moved and are interested in cost reduction, this article will interest you. Event details were provided courtesy of Lev-PR.
Event Date: Thursday, 11 Oct 2018 between 10:00 - 21:00 Event Location: 'Barak Teura' Store, 53 Etzel St. Rishon LeZion Event Registration: Hebrew website or via the contact details at the bottom.
So, how does it work?
You register to the group event for free. Sogrim Hakol LaDira have worked with Barak Teura on offering an exclusive discount to the group that includes a package deal for purchasing of several light fixtures at once that saves ~3,000 NIS. The package contains the following:
Entry lighting - You select 1 out of 3 models to choose from
Kitchen lighting - You select 1 out of 2 models to choose from
Living room lighting - You select 1 out of 2 models to choose from
Dining area lighting - You select 1 out of 3 models to choose from
Bathroom Lighting - You select 1 out of 3 models to choose from
Master bedroom lighting - You select 1 out of 2 models to choose from
Additional room lighting - You select 1 out of 2 models to choose from
On the day of the event, the total cost of the package is 5,900 instead of 8,500 NIS.
Who are Barak Teura? Barak Teura is a family business with stores in Rishon LeZion and Ashdod, founded in 1988 by Shimon Barak, a light fixure designer who studied both engineering and architecture with experience and knowledge in architectural lighting. His store offers both in-house designs as well as imported products. The advantage of Barak Teura is not only their ability to provide advice on the suitability of light fixures for spaces, but their ability to make certain tailored adjustments to the light fixtures in their laboratory based on customer preferences.
Shimon Barak, the owner gave us a brief explanation on their designs which are a unique combination of the clean lines of modern design with wood or copper details that add a vintage effect. Additional modern aspects are in the light fixure features such as control via wifi through bluetooth or a mobile app or even using a remote control that enables adjustment of the light intensity and color.
I know that this is a last minute posting of the event, but Sogrim HaKol LaDira have about 500 events a year and Barak Teura are also a good store to learn about.
