Magic Moments: A Good Parenting Project

Hi there,

As parents, we all share the same difficulties with kids. Getting them up and ready in the morning, driving, dinner time, bath time, (anytime)... Need I say more?

I am happy to share with you a new project that has been developed in Israel for the beloved Israeli family TV channel 'Hop!' and its digital media content by the Hop Media Group and the Bernard Van Leer Foundation.

Magic Moments Presented by Alona Abt Founder, Co-Owner and CEO of Hop Media Group

The project is called "Magic Moments" and includes several short videos depicting different families in various routine situations and how their interactions turn difficult moments into magical ones. The purpose is to provide parents with simple tools that can assist them in handling stressful situations to create more enjoyable moments and promote bonding.

The content was developed by a team of educational experts both from Hop Media that specializes in children's content and the Bernard Van Leer Foundation that specializes in parental guidance. It was shown to test groups prior to launch and has received positive reactions from children as well as parents.

The collaboration has generated content on a number of platforms where they are available in Hebrew. All the sub-titled English content is available in the linked newsletter at the moment. To enter it click here.

The first platform is the docu-drama TV series that will be screened on the 'Hop!', 'Loli' and 'Yaldut Israelit' children's channels and will be available on the VOD of both the YES and HOT service providers in Israel.

A second series of videos entitled "Learning Through Play" has been prepared for parental guidance with recommedations from academic and field experts on how to cope with common parental challenges. The content will be available the Hebrew website hop.co.il that has separate content access for children and parents. The website also includes a clip of the theme song that was performed by Ester Rada in case you want to put it on for your kids. A third series of videos offers suggestions for fun recreational activities that have added educational and developmental values. There are suggestions for both indoor and outdoor activities that can help you with ideas on how to spend quality time with your children year-round.

All the videos can also be found through youtube by searching 'Hop Israel' and on the 'Hop Israel' application.

As mentioned above, the sub-titled English content is available in the linked newsletter at the moment. To enter it click here.

I hope it works its magic on you!

Best, Talma
