The 8th championship in Israel, for hairdressers, makeup artists and artists for designing and building nails took place on January 21st, 2019 at the Smolarz Congress and Conference Center of Tel Aviv University.
The Israel Championship was held within the framework of "Cosmobeauty 2019", the annual conference of professionals in the beauty industry in Israel conducted by the Organization Israel Coiffure (IOC Israel). This annual tradition attracts hundreds of contestants, with only one goal in mind - a first place trophy!
The competition follows strict rules and guidelines and is recognized by the Organization Modial Coiffure (OMC) since 2008. OMC is the largest organization for beauty professionals in the world with over 500,000 members in over 60 countries.
The platform of professionals in which all the artists demonstrate the peak of creativity was concocted by Motie Rubin, one of the leaders of the hair industry in Israel with the thought of Israeli representation in the most important competitions in the world!
The Motie Rubin Academy is the only institute for the study of hair-styling in Israel, that confers on its graduates an international diploma. It is a center for professional studies in a wide range of hair design courses, and the studies are enriched with the most up-to-date content in current and future trends. As part of its vision, the Motie Rubin Academy has set a goal to promote hair styling while contributing to society, economics and the industry. It does so by collaborating with outside bodies and is a main sponsor of the Israel Championship at Cosmobeauty.

Over 200 competitors participated in over 33 categories including: fantasy hairstyles, men's haircuts, body makeup, facial painting, nail construction and artistic sculpture and more.
In addition, in the exhibition hall outside the competition, various companies display their products to the professionals who come to attend the event.
