Yeruham is celebrating spring with several fun events, especially during your Passover vacation.

Yeruham: A Multitude of Spring Festivals

Yeruham's Iris Festival - April 1st and 2nd

The 'Yeruham Iris Festival' is being held for the third year in the Yeruham Iris Reserve where a species unique to Yeruham blooms alongside other wildflowers. As part of the festival, there will be guided tours of the Iris Reserve every hour. The route is a simple circular one that takes about an hour and a half to walk through and is suitable for the whole family (preferably without carriages). At the end of the tour, you can register for several workshops and an additional nature tours "Living Under the Stone" at the tourist information station.

The guided tours will take place on Friday, Apr 1st every hour, starting at 9:00. On Saturday, April 2, the workshops and tours will be run by Atid Bamidbar.

Entrance to the reserve is free of charge. The workshops and tours will be held every hour at a cost of 10 NIS per participant from the age of 3 for each activity.

The festival is being held courtesy of the Yeruham Economic Development Company, the Yeruham Tourism Association and the Nature and Parks Authority.


Yeruham's Street Festival - April 7th

Yeruhamit Street, the main street in Yeruham serves as the backdrop for an urban spring celebration that includes music, dance, art and food made by Yeruham and the locality. The festival features local musicians, solos and ensembles, starting with the Big Band Orchestra of the local conservatorium, continuing with oud musicians in a bouncy party and performance by the 'Ivri'im', 'Kulna' and 'Bint el funk' bands. The performances will take place along the main street and throughout the event there will be workshops, a circus show, stalls, a community graffiti wall and more.


Passover on the Town, April 15th and 17th-22nd

During Passover Yeruham tourists will be enjoy a full range of activities suitable for the wonderful weather this season such as art workshops both outdoors and in the galleries, night safari tours and musical tours in the desert, bird ringing activities and gathering tours, segway and karting tours in the park, stargazing in the crater, urban tours and more.
